The Physician Liaison serves as a dedicated link between Corewell Health and community physicians, APPs, and their practices. The primary purpose of this role is to empower physicians, APPs, and their staff to deliver exceptional patient care through relationship management, issue resolution, education, support, and technology connectivity solutions. By removing barriers and connecting practices to the people, resources, and services they need, the liaison creates value for physicians, APPs, staff, patients, and the health system.
Through regular in-person visits to physician and APP offices, the liaison develops trusted relationships with clinicians, practice leaders, and staff. Success in this role requires the ability to gain access to busy practices, establish credibility, and become a valued resource and advisor. The liaison advocates on behalf of physicians, APPs, and practice teams, helping resolve concerns, streamline workflows, improve connectivity to Corewell Health resources, and support high-quality patient care.
Serving as the primary relationship manager for assigned accounts, the liaison educates physicians, APPs, and staff on Corewell Health services, facilitates referrals, identifies growth opportunities, and connects practices to solutions that improve access, coordination, and patient outcomes. The role requires a strong understanding of healthcare operations, physician and APP needs, market dynamics, and Corewell Health's clinical services and strategic priorities.
The Physician Liaison partners closely with physician leaders, executive leaders, and operational teams to support growth initiatives, physician-facing projects, and change management efforts. As a trusted advisor to both community practices and Corewell Health leadership, the liaison gathers feedback, market intelligence, and practice insights and translates them into actionable recommendations that strengthen partnerships, support organizational goals, and improve the physician experience.
