Job Description

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Builds and maintains positive, professional relationships with primary care physicians, specialty physicians, advanced practice providers, referral coordinators, medical office staff, and other healthcare partners.
  • Conducts regular office visits and outreach activities with referring physician offices and healthcare partners to strengthen relationships.
  • Ability to independently develop and design creative documents, as well as collaborate effectively with team members on creative projects.
  • Supports physician and provider outreach initiatives designed to increase awareness of the practice and strengthen referral relationships.
  • Maintains an organized schedule and call cycle for physician and provider outreach across multiple practice locations and geographic markets.
  • Identifies opportunities to develop new referral relationships.
  • Monitors referral trends, provider feedback, and market activity to help identify opportunities for increased patient referrals and improved provider relationships.
  • Identifies barriers that may affect referrals, scheduling, communication, or the referring provider experience and communicates those barriers to appropriate leadership.
  • Supports the onboarding and market introduction of new physicians, advanced practice providers, services, and practice locations through targeted outreach and relationship development.
  • Provides feedback to leadership regarding physician and provider needs, market activity, competitive observations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Understands and adheres to all company policies, compliance requirements, applicable healthcare regulations, and the organization’s code of conduct.
  • Completes all required ongoing education and training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Relationship Building – Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with physicians, providers, office staff, healthcare organizations, and community partners.
  • Communication – Communicates clearly and professionally with physicians, healthcare professionals, office staff, patients, and community partners.
  • Collaboration – Works effectively with physicians, practice leadership, marketing, scheduling, clinical teams, and other departments.
  • Problem Solving – Identifies provider concerns and barriers and works with appropriate team members to facilitate timely solutions.
  • Technology/CRM Skills – Ability to effectively use CRM systems, Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, and other technology necessary to document and manage provider relationships.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3–4 years of experience in healthcare, physician relations, business development, marketing, sales, customer relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical practices, or healthcare organizations preferred.
  • Experience in an orthopedic, surgical, specialty, or multi-location medical practice environment is a plus.
  • Experience using CRM or customer relationship management systems preferred.

  • None required.

HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY
