Physician RecruitmentThe Physician Recruiter Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting and coordinating all aspects of physician recruitment across multiple specialties, including Radiology, Pediatrics (Children’s Hospital), Palliative Care, Primary Care, and General Internal Medicine. This position is responsible for delivering a high-touch, seamless candidate experience by managing the full lifecycle of onsite interview coordination and recruitment logistics.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills; personable and professional in candidate-facing interactions
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience with Concur (or similar expense management systems)
  • Familiarity with Workday or comparable HRIS platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in sales or other client-facing roles is highly valued

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the main contact and on-site host for physician candidates interviewing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and its’ regional hospitals and practices throughout Middle Tennessee
  • Must have strong understanding of the markets and communities served by VUMC, with knowledge of housing market, school systems, daycare & employment opportunities for the physician candidate’s family
  • Facilitate connections with local real estate agents, schools, and employers to assist with relocation
  • Partner with Director and physician recruiters to assist in the creation of face to face and virtual interview schedules and itineraries for visit as needed
  • Assist with candidate travel arrangements and reimbursements after interview completion
  • Assist in transportation for physician candidates on interview days as needed or appropriate
  • Provide updates to Director of Physician Recruitment and Physician Recruitment team on candidate feedback during interview process
  • May assist Physician Recruiters as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Documentation (Intermediate): Ensures that all documentation is complete, accurate, thorough, and compliant.
  • Recruiting Needs Assessment (Intermediate): Determine specific staffing needs including overall experience, competency and education needs and requirements.
