Specialty: Pulmonology – Per Diem Physician

Location: Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Berkeley, CA & Oakland, CA

Opportunity InformationThis per diem position is an excellent opportunity for a board certified/board eligible Pulmonary Physician to join a group with great diversity of patients and three other Pulmonologists in the group. This position is for adult care only (no pediatrics).

  • Up to 2 weeks per month of Pulmonary inpatient consult service, with most requirement Dec 2026-March 2027.
  • Pulmonary consult service is business days only with 8 AM – 6 PM inpatient coverage at both campuses of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.
  • No contractual ICU duties as a part of this position
  • Proficiency in bronchoscopy techniques such as BAL, transbronchial biopsy and EBUS-TBNA is expected.
  • The physician is expected to work in coalition with the hospitalists, ER, and other consulting physicians of the hospital. Collaboration with respiratory therapy and case management services is going to be a part of the service requirement. The service may have a resident trainee at times.
