
The Primary Care Physicians at Independence Health provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for chronic disease management, acute care needs, with a preventative care focus. Outpatient clinical responsibilities include Physicals, Annual Wellness Visits, and Well child checks, Paps, procedures, and initial diagnosis workups, acute care visits and chronic care follow-up visits (as determined by evidenced based medicine practices and patient needs), outpatient office call rotation requirements. Physicians utilize hospitalist services for inpatient care. The Physicians collaborate with other members of the care team including Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other clinical and non-clinical staff in the team-based outpatient office setting to provide high quality care. The physician is responsible for being a provider leader in the team-based care setting, supervision of APPs, teaching, system stewardship, and modeling behaviors of excellence and compassion in the primary care setting.
