As an Internist at Cottage Hospital’s RHC, you will provide long-term, comprehensive care to patients with both acute and chronic medical conditions. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and helping prevent illness and injury, while supporting each patient’s overall wellness. This role emphasizes collaboration, continuity of care, and a commitment to rural health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with patients to understand symptoms and health concerns
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease
Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and preventive care
Monitor patient progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary
Provide health education related to wellness, nutrition, and disease prevention
Administer immunizations and order/interpret diagnostic tests
Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate care with other specialists
Collaborate with the clinical team to support optimal outcomes for patients
Cottage Hospital is 25-bed critical access hospital located in Woodsville, NH serving the beautiful Upper Connecticut River Valley. The Cottage family has just over 250 employees, 37 active medical staff providers and 35 volunteers.
