Supports Physician Outreach department. Represents and promotes Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta clinical services and programs to increase volume growth and referring physician base and improve customer relationships with key and potentially new referring physicians.

Experience

  • Experience in database management

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or marketing communications
  • Experience in healthcare or consumer products

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, a clinical discipline, or related healthcare field

Certification Summary

  • Valid Georgia driver’s license
  • Must have personal transportation (automobile in good working condition) and auto insurance

  • Knowledge of resources, market, and business data and ability to apply in the development, implementation, measurement, and evaluation of relationship development/sales/outreach programs

Job Responsibilities

  • Functions as a primary contact for physicians within an assigned geographic territory.
  • Interfaces with physicians/staffs to improve communication and increase understanding of referring physician needs and expectations.
  • Conducts personal visits 3.5 to four days per week, maintaining a practice visit index of 1.0.
  • Develops a sales plan for physicians/practices within the assigned territory with identified objectives and strategies.
  • Supports marketing plan and implementation and collaborates with Marketing and Communications to ensure that communication vehicles (e.g., collaterals, forms, physician portal) are in support of the results-oriented sales plan.
  • Identifies issues and concerns by referring physicians and communicates back to the appropriate individual, department, or area.
  • Facilitates issue resolution between physicians and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, working toward improved processes and communications.
  • Records and reports daily activity, referral patterns, client interactions, communication preferences, issues and resolutions, budget, market intelligence, cross-selling opportunities, and positive/negative variances in volumes for identified clinical products.
  • Maintains content for all physician/practice profiles, capturing critical data and updating Credentialing when necessary to ensure accurate and timely information is provided for purposes of communicating back to referring physicians.
  • Serves as content expert for other members of the Physician Outreach team depending on particular area of clinical expertise, partnering in the development of other outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Serves as a backup for other Physician Outreach team members during approved absences to ensure continuity of communication between Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the physician community.
  • Supports the Director, Physician Outreach and Service Line Administrators to identify and implement sales programs for new and/or refreshed clinical products and work with Information Systems & Technology, Patient Access, Medical Records, Service Line Administrators, Credentialing, Transfer Center, and other departments and individuals as needed.
  • Collaborates with Data Analyst to create monthly and quarterly reports identifying trends, issues, and resolutions.
  • Works with Data Analyst and other team members to make recommendations for process improvements and develops/reports return on investment measures on specific blitz programs or overall metrics.
  • Participates in education, training, planning, and regular sales training programs as required.
  • Oversees preparations, implementation, and follow-up for identified professional organization meetings and trade shows in order to cultivate physician relationships.
  • Attends continuing medical education dinners and physician town hall meetings in assigned geographic territory.
  • Coordinates continuing medical education in-services for physicians and staff per request by the practice.
