Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team in beautiful Jackson, CA.
Sutter Amador OB/GYN presents an exciting opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible obstetrician-gynecologist to join a supportive, community-focused practice in the scenic Sierra Foothills. This is a primarily OB-focused role serving an underserved patient population. The practice is based at a 53-bed rural hospital with minimal subspecialty support—no NICU, Urology, or Maternal-Fetal Medicine on-site—though referral options are available in our nearby tertiary care centers. The hospital is known for its exceptional labor and delivery nursing staff and outstanding patient feedback regarding the compassionate, high-quality care provided.
The practice averages 20–25 deliveries per month, with low acuity and a strong collaborative team environment Opportunity exists for those interested in growing the gynecologic surgery program as well. Physicians have access to robotic-assisted surgery, enhancing surgical capabilities in a rural setting. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in graduate medical education teaching, working with both OB/GYN residents as well as FM residents participating in a rural residency track. This is an ideal role for those who enjoy mentoring and shaping the next generation of physicians.
The proposed call schedule includes:
This equates to 10 total call days per month, reflecting a 1:3 call ratio
Physicians are also expected to rotate at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento 1–2 days per month to maintain clinical skills.
The location offers the best of both worlds— a peaceful rural lifestyle with proximity to urban amenities, just one hour from Sacramento
Board certified/Board eligible
