WakeMed Physician Practices, a premier multi‑specialty medical group with more than 500 physicians, NP/PA across a broad range of specialties, is seeking a Board‑Eligible/Board‑Certified Hematology & Medical Oncology physician with a clinical focus in Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology to join our rapidly growing cancer program in Raleigh, North Carolina.
WakeMed is committed to delivering state‑of‑the‑art, compassionate, patient‑centered cancer care. As part of our expanding oncology service line, you will join a collaborative, collegial team of 8 physicians and 14 NP/PA professionals, working within a system that emphasizes quality, multidisciplinary integration, and innovation.
We are seeking a clinically excellent, team‑oriented GI medical oncologist who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and works closely with: Surgical oncology, Colorectal surgery, Hepatobiliary surgeons, Gastroenterologists, Radiation oncology, Radiology and pathology, Genetic counseling
WakeMed offers a comprehensive GI oncology program with exceptional multidisciplinary support, including:
Our oncology service line is expanding its research footprint, with a growing portfolio of oncology clinical trials, including GI-focused studies. Research experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours/week (36 clinical + 4 administrative).
