
Corewell Health East is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist with leadership expertise and a strong clinical interest in cardiovascular critical care to join the Heart and Vascular Service Line at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak and serve as the medical director of cardiology intensive care. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a nationally recognized cardiovascular program with a longstanding commitment to excellence in patient care, education, research and innovation.
The successful candidate will play an important role in care model design for the 20-bed cardiology intensive care unit which includes medically complex and critically ill cardiology patients, while maintaining complementary practice within their area of cardiology expertise. The case mix includes patients with cardiogenic SHOCK, and the candidate will need to demonstrate expertise in advanced mechanical circulatory support.
Candidates from a range of cardiology backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including noninvasive cardiology, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure, or another subspecialty cardiology. Formal advanced training in critical care cardiology is required for candidates with substantial relevant training, experience, and demonstrated competency in cardiovascular critical care.
