UCLA Health is seeking a Physician Liaison to play a key role in advancing strategic growth across priority service lines. This role is focused on building and managing strategic referral relationships with physicians, medical groups, and key stakeholders, with an emphasis on complex specialty services and improving access to care.
This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Strategy, clinical leadership, and operations to strengthen referral pathways, identify growth opportunities, and address barriers that impact patient access and referral conversion. The individual in this role will operate at the intersection of relationship management and data-informed decision making, helping to align outreach efforts with enterprise growth priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and manage strategic referral relationships with physicians and medical groups across assigned markets and service lines
• Develop and execute targeted outreach plans aligned with UCLA Health growth priorities, including neuroscience, cardiology, oncology, and transplant services
• Identify opportunities to grow referral volume and strengthen strategic referral relationships
• Partner with internal teams to improve access, streamline referral pathways, and address barriers to scheduling and care delivery
• Facilitate patient access into UCLA Health and support coordination of referred cases as needed
• Monitor referral trends, provider engagement, and market dynamics to inform outreach strategy
• Serve as a key resource for market intelligence, including competitive activity and changes in referral patterns
• Collaborate with Strategy and analytics teams to support data-driven decision making and targeted outreach efforts
Salary Range: $86,400 - 184,400/annually
