
NorthBay Health's Integrative Primary Care Program offers a highly personalized primary and preventive care experience featuring outstanding internal medicine, family practice, lifestyle and integrative medicine providers. The program is dedicated to providing outstanding primary care services and coordinated access to our network of specialists.
We are looking for a Physician (MD or DO) who believes that health starts with lifestyle and relationships – not just prescriptions. Our board-certified physicians adopt a personalized, relationship based philosophy in a highly consultative setting. This role is for a physician who wants to blend expert clinical care, with patient connection, health education and supplemental therapies to encourage positive lifestyle change.
This is not a typical primary care role. The role will have a smaller than standard primary care participant panel and work in close collaboration with the on site lifestyle and integrative medicine team – RN’s dieticians, movement, stress management, sleep specialists as well as medical acupuncturists – to provide patients a seamless, high touch, high service, highly personalized Integrative Primary Care patient experience. This is not a concierge medicine practice however all program patient participants do pay a program fee, not covered by insurance.
As a physician provider in the Integrative Primary Care program, you’ll perform traditional primary care responsibilities in addition to providing clinical leadership, guiding patient’s through the lifestyle medicine education program components, and providing oversight for group-based care focused on nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, restorative sleep and social connection.
Our Integrative Primary Care providers spend more time with each patient, enabling them to deliver personalized medical advice tailored to individual lifestyles. The program is grounded in evidence and is designed to prevent and manage chronic conditions.
Practice Profile
Primary Responsibilities:
Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
Educates patients on the Program’s personalized protocols, education components. and provides oversight for group-based care focused on nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, restorative sleep and social connection.
Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient
Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary
Represents the practice at Hospital committees in such a manner that the burden of attending the meetings is reasonably distributed among all of the physicians in the group
Collaborate and manage RN’s
Education:
Advanced training in Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM preferred)
Certification:
Board-certified or board-eligible in FM or IM.
Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Licensure:
Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in California.
DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances when applicable.
Experience:
Experience in lifestyle or integrative medicine programming, preferred
Proven experience in a primary care setting
Skills:
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families
Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records (EHR), Cerner and EPIC a plus

The 132-bed NorthBay Medical Center is Solano County’s most comprehensive hospital.
