Job Description

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal or Family Medicine.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Illinois or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong clinical skills in infectious disease diagnosis and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Inpatient Care (Hospitalist)

  • Serve as a hospitalist providing medical care to adult inpatients/step-down status as part of a shared call or rotation schedule.
  • Admit, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients from the affiliated hospital.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and case management to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary rounds
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Schedule: 7:00am to 7:00pm (7 on/7 off schedule) - 175 shifts/year

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation + opportunity for up to $20,000 quality bonus ($141.66/hour)
  • Sign on bonus $36,000 (3-year contract term)
  • Residency stipend available
  • Relocation assistance up to $15,000
  • Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
