Hiring Range: $270,000 - $350,000

UMass Memorial Health - Harrington Hospitalin south central Massachusetts is currently seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our team of caregivers at The Cancer Center at Harrington. You will be joining an established cancer center team: two physicians, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, Genetic Counselor and patient navigators, that provide cancer care services to communities in south central Massachusetts and northeast Connecticut.
The Cancer Center at Harrington is operated by the not-for-profit Harrington Hospital, which provides radiation oncology on the first floor of our two-story building.

The Cancer Center at Harrington is committed to ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of patient-family care as they navigate through diagnosis, treatment, recovery and survivorship.
Nationally Accredited
We are accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons.
To earn CoC accreditation, cancer programs must meet 34 CoC quality care standards, be evaluated every three years through a demanding survey process and maintain levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive patient-centered care.
When patients receive care at a CoC facility like ours, they also have access to information on clinical trials and new treatments and patient-centered services, including psycho-social support, a patient navigation process, and a survivorship care plan that documents the care each patient receives and seeks to improve cancer survivors’ quality of life.
Our Cancer Center has a bright and private infusion area and treatment for many hematologic conditions. We offer navigators for a personalized patient experience. A patient navigator isa registered nurse with oncology-specific clinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome health care system barriers and offer advice on their care plan.

About UMass Memorial Health – Harrington
A member of the UMass Memorial Health system, Harrington serves patients from more than 25 communities across south central Massachusetts and northeastern Connecticut with a comprehensive array of health care services through:
  • Harrington Hospitalin Southbridge provides medical and surgical inpatient care, 24-hour emergency services, an intensive care unit and comprehensive outpatient services.
Harrington Hospital at Webster is an outpatient facility anchored by the 24/7 Remillard Family Emergency Department, a 16-bed inpatient co-occurring disorders unit, and a 24-bed inpatient adult psychiatry unit. Additional services include primary care and specialty physicians, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, cardiology, and an advanced sleep lab.
Three additional major medical office buildings — Harrington at Charlton, Harrington at 169, also in Charlton, and Harrington at Spencer — house primary care and specialty physicians, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, outpatient behavioral health, audiology, and a Wound Care Center with hyperbaric oxygen chambers.
Harrington Medical Group, a primary care and multi-specialty physician group, consists of more than 60 physicians located in offices in Brimfield, Charlton, Southbridge, Spencer, Sturbridge and Webster.
  • UrgentCare Express at Harrington serves as a walk-in medical center for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, open seven days per week in Oxford;
The Cancer Center at Harrington in Southbridge allows patients to receive advanced, local oncological and hematology care, including chemotherapy, radiation and pain management.

Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
