Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our Orthopedics Team as a Physician Extender/Athletic Trainer!

What You'll Do:

• Clinical responsibilities: accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam.
• Patient care responsibilities: Effectively utilizes the electronic medical records system to check scheduled, complete prior authorizations and organize patient flow; demonstrates acceptable time management techniques; accurate charting; accurately relays instructions to patients/families; answers calls and provides pertinent information.
• Clerical responsibilities: includes sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/radiology reports, hospital notes referral information.
• Responsible for setting up instruments and equipment according to protocols; cleaning exam/procedures rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sanitizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; maintains office supplies by notifying Practice Manager when items are needed, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms.

What You'll Bring/Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program of study.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the State of Ohio Occupational, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board.
