Job Description

ENT Physician provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck in both adult and pediatric patients. This physician works collaboratively with an in-house allergist and audiology team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care, combining strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, and excellent communication skills in a busy outpatient practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions in adult and pediatric patients
  • Perform comprehensive ENT examinations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide office-based procedures such as nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, cerumen removal, biopsy, and other minor procedures as appropriate
  • Diagnose and manage conditions including chronic sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, hearing loss, otitis media, sleep-disordered breathing, tonsillar disease, voice disorders, dizziness, and head and neck masses
  • Perform or schedule surgical interventions as indicated, including outpatient and hospital-based ENT procedures
  • Collaborate closely with the practice allergist in the management of patients with allergy-related ENT conditions and coordinated treatment plans

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
  • Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
  • Active and unrestricted medical license, or ability to obtain licensure in the applicable state
  • DEA registration and controlled substance authority as required
  • Demonstrated experience in outpatient ENT care, in-office procedures, and surgical management preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and standard clinical documentation systems

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographical location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/ training and other qualifications.
