Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$31.120 - $38.130 - $45.130

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do
Under general supervision of department leadership, conducts orientation program for all new medical staff members and any follow-up EHR training. Support the OPPE and FPPE process to ensure Medical Staff and Hospital maintain compliance. Coordinate accredited CME program duties. Uphold the mission and goals of Tri-City Medical Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have had an active role in EHR implementations; preference would be given to candidates who have performed in a lead or leadership role for at least one of those implementations.
  • Experience supporting and training Dragon Medical speech recognition software clinical, clinical informatics, or IT experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 Years related experience in database management with a minimum of five (5) years in the field of medical records or medical staff services in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Experience with ClinDoc, CPOE, Dynamic Doc, Anesthesia inpatient modules, Powerchart GI, LaunchPoint, M Pages, preferred.


Other Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred or comparable work experience, required.
  • Certified and/or credentialed Cerner - PREFERRED


Essential Functions

  • The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner.     Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit-based safety and infection control requirements.
    Conducts orientation program to all new medical staff members. Provide follow up EHR training to all new and existing medical staff members, as needed.
    Coordinates and participates in all audits pertaining to the department as assigned.
    Work on special projects as assigned keeping Medical Staff Leadership informed of status of work efforts through weekly reports, project status reports and other reporting as needed.
    Coordinate accredited CME program duties as requested, which includes but is not limited to, supporting committee meeting, maintaining regulatory compliance, and related functions.
    Under direction from department leadership, work to implement new efficiencies and streamline processes, including, but not limited to:
    Support for physician adoption activities during EHR activities such as implementation, upgrades and refinement.
    Partners with Physician leaders, clinicians, and project team to identify common physician workflows, ability to understand current state processes and assist in the development of future state workflows. Participate in provider EHR workflow sessions.
    Works with project managers to integrate physician adoption project plan into overall EHR project plan.
    Assists in the development of communication messages as needed.
    Identifies and reports obstacles in physician adoption progress.
    Supports the OPPE (Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation) & FPPE (Focused Professional Practice Evaluation) process to ensure Medical Staff and Hospital maintain compliance, reflective of the cycles of data included in the reappointment of all providers accordingly.
    Track, maintain, and process proctoring.
    May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Advanced computer skills required, including all Microsoft applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, collaborative and analytical skills with customer focus; must be able to foster and maintain sound working relationships.
  • Skills to employ technologies effectively and proficiency (Preferred: MD Staff software, Cerner, relevant mobile technology and web-based applications).
  • Independently motivated and driven to achieve high goals and seek continuous improvement in knowledge and skills.
  • Proven ability to initiate, communicate and implement plans and ideas to improve overall system performance.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact thoughtfully and effectively with others.
  • In-depth knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects concurrently; strong organizational capabilities.
  • Operations knowledge across the continuum of care: Ability to identify and report on key physician issue, Possesses a deep understanding of operations workflows and procedures, Ability to participate and/or lead root cause analysis.
