Department: Clinical
Employment Type: Contract
Location: US - Remote
Compensation: $200.00 / hour
Pettable was founded by pet lovers who believe our animals are family. We help people stay together with the pets that support their mental health - especially when it comes to housing - by connecting them with licensed clinicians who can assess their need for an emotional support animal and, where clinically appropriate, provide an ESA letter.
We're an established platform serving tens of thousands of clients a year, backed by a support team that handles scheduling, billing, and client communication so you can focus on care.
We are looking for Colorado-licensed physicians (MDs or DOs) to join our team and help make our vision a reality. We are seeking ethical, competent, and empathetic providers who can connect with clients and assess their need for an emotional support animal via virtual consultations. You’ll bring sound, independent clinical judgment to every evaluation and help clients navigate the process with warmth and professionalism while maintaining the spirit of mutual respect and collaboration that helps us succeed as a team. Above all, you must share our passion for mental wellness and pets, and embody our mission to improve their health and happiness on a large scale.
This is a 1099 contractor role with flexible, self-directed hours.
Pettable operates as a marketplace: clients book directly with providers based on availability and fit, so your volume reflects overall client demand and the availability you open. Providers who offer near-term and same-day availability tend to see the most client volume—clients are seeking prompt support, and open near-term slots are what convert. We can't guarantee a set number of clients, but demand across our network is strong and steady.
This is a US-based, remote position.

Join us in expanding access to care that is both clinically sound and deeply human.

Receptive delivers on healthcare's biggest opportunities: access, affordability, patient outcomes, and experience. Through clinician-led virtual care, we empower hundreds of thousands of people with ongoing conditions to receive accessible, effective treatments across a lifetime of care.
The problem we solve:
For millions of people, barriers to care are structural, financial, and circumstantial—scheduling realities, transportation challenges, childcare, stigma, disability, distance, mobility, cost, or the emotional weight of simply trying to get help. Receptive exists because access is the first problem in healthcare. If you can't access care, nothing else matters.
Our approach:
Each Receptive brand addresses a different access failure with specialized, evidence-based care models:
- ADHD Advisor – Clinician-led ADHD diagnosis and treatment with continuity of care
- Pettable – Legitimate, state-compliant Emotional Support Animal (ESA) services backed by legal guarantees
- Top Nutrition Coaching – Personalized, outcomes-focused nutrition care with licensed dietitians
We take care of everything behind the scenes so that care can take center stage.
Our impact:
- Licensed in all 50 states
- Serving 100,000+ patients annually
- Part of a growing movement supporting the 15M+ people in the U.S. seeking accessible mental health and specialty care every year
Our commitment:
Ethical, clinician-first telehealth that prioritizes legitimacy, continuity, and long-term patient outcomes over speed and scale.
