
Colorado Permanente Medical Group is seeking a part-time or full-time board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians with experience in clinic, hospital or urgent care setting. There are four Urgent Care locations in the Denver metro area. Lakewood, Aurora Centrepoint, Rock Creek and Lone Tree Medical Offices.Physicians must be available to float to all locations. Telephonic Medicine may also be a part of the position.
Shifts: 8-, 10-& 12-hour shifts. No overnights.
An Emergency Medicine Physician in an Urgent Care setting delivers high‑quality, efficient medical care for patients presenting with a wide range of acute, non‑life‑threatening conditions. Leveraging advanced emergency‑medicine training, the physician provides rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients of all ages in a fast‑paced, walk‑in environment. Responsibilities include performing focused physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, managing minor procedures, and determining when escalation to emergency services is necessary.
The physician collaborates closely with advanced practice providers, nurses, radiology staff, and support personnel to ensure safe, timely, and patient‑centered care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to balance efficiency with compassionate communication. The Emergency Medicine Physician plays a key role in maintaining smooth clinic operations while upholding the highest standards of evidence‑based practice.
If new venues require EM staffing, the group will be responsible for staffing those. These may include Hospital Emergency Departments, additional UC locations, Clinical Decision Units (CDU) or other venues.
EM physician will also be required to staff the Telephone Medicine Center (TMC)
