Help Us Transform the Delivery of Healthcare

AtlantiCare—a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient and the largest healthcare system in southeastern New Jersey—invites applications for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Colorectal Surgeon to join our growing surgical team within AtlantiCare Physician Group Surgical Associates.

The AtlantiCare Health System is recruiting a fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon to provide expert care to patients in southeastern New Jersey. A successful candidate will have both excellent foundation of operative and clinical skills and a collaborative approach to patient care. AtlantiCare is a multifaceted health system with approximately 625 hospital beds across two hospital locations in addition to multiple ambulatory surgery/endoscopy centers and multidisciplinary clinics.

This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly expanding and comprehensive colorectal surgery practice, now able to deploy the breadth of colorectal surgery to underserved patients in southeastern New Jersey. The candidate would join a well-established team that includes surgical oncology, general surgery, and bariatric surgery supporting a 1:7 call schedule. Our colorectal department works closely with the Committee on Cancer accredited AtlantiCare Cancer Center for robust, multi-disciplinary care of patients with colon, rectal, and anal cancer. Other highlights of the colorectal surgery division include:

  • Access for elective and emergent robotic surgery (including SP platform)
  • Protected endoscopy time/space for screening and diagnostic procedures
  • Access to ambulatory surgery center for high volume anorectal and endoscopy
  • Significant opportunity for growth in multidisciplinary IBD care and treating pelvic floor pathology
  • Teaching opportunity with rotating general surgery residents (PGY1 though PGY5) as well as medical students on elective rotations
  • Dedicated colorectal APP support for inpatient, outpatient, and operative services
  • Join a financially sound, growing health system with recently announced partnership to build a medical school with further teaching/leadership opportunities
