Physician Benefits Liaison

📍 Fairfax, Virginia

🕒 Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Hybrid role (in office Mondays/Thursdays)

We are seeking an experienced Physician Benefits Liaison to provide dedicated, best-in-class benefits support to Fairfax Radiological Consultants, PLLC. You’ll serve as the primary connection between our Human Resources team and the physician practice, helping physicians and staff navigate everything from enrollment and life events to leave, retirement, disability, and complex benefits questions.

What You’ll Do

Provide High-Touch Benefits Support

• Serve as the primary benefits liaison between Fairfax Radiology Centers Human Resources and Fairfax Radiological Consultants
• Help physicians and staff understand and navigate medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability, life and AD&D insurance, voluntary benefits, COBRA, retiree benefits, and 401(k) plans
• Respond to benefits questions and assist with claims, coverage, and membership issues
• Conduct physician benefits orientations and complete profit-sharing calculation worksheets
• Serve as a liaison with insurance providers regarding disability and death benefits
• Manage physician retiree benefits and COBRA administration in partnership with our vendor

Manage Benefits Administration

• Coordinate benefit enrollments, terminations, qualifying life event changes, and other updates
• Track physician shareholder status changes and ensure applicable systems and records are updated
• Ensure dependent, beneficiary, and emergency contact information is complete and current
• Review and approve benefit vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate administrative procedures and workflows for physician and staff benefits
• Support annual benefit renewal activities and share physician and staff feedback and industry best practices

Support Leave Administration

• Administer FMLA and other leaves of absence for physicians and staff
• Communicate requirements, timelines, and next steps throughout the leave process
• Maintain accurate leave tracking and documentation
• Partner with HR leadership on complex or unusual leave situations

Keep Our Data & Reporting Accurate

• Run reports through Paylocity and ADP and ensure benefit information is consistent across systems
• Prepare biweekly and monthly benefits deduction reports
• Maintain the physician practice Benefits Dashboard
• Run and review benefits enrollment reports
• Identify discrepancies and follow through until they are resolved

Communicate & Collaborate

• Prepare agendas and lead monthly benefits meetings with the Fairfax Radiological Consultants administrative team
• Develop and distribute benefits and compliance communications
• Review benefit summaries and supporting materials for accuracy and clarity
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable benefits laws and regulations
• Support broader HR initiatives, including employee appreciation, wellness, community activities, and other team projects

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of benefits administration experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience
• At least 2 years of experience working with HR information systems
• Working knowledge of Leave Administration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data, reports, and confidential information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• A service-focused approach and the ability to explain complex benefits information in a clear, approachable way

Even Better If You Have

• HR or benefits experience supporting a physician practice, law firm, employee-owned organization, or similar professional environment
• Experience with Paylocity and/or ADP
• A professional Human Resources or benefits certification

FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation:

Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:

$61,200 - $82,800 per year

Placement within the range is determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
