📍 Meritus Urgent Care – Valley Mall | Hagerstown, MD

Meritus Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide timely, compassionate care at its Valley Mall urgent care location. You will treat patients of all ages with everyday illnesses and minor injuries in a setting designed to make care accessible when patients need it.

Position Highlights

• Care for both adults and children
• Evaluate a wide range of urgent care concerns, from earaches and sore throats to sprains and strains
• Work alongside an established urgent care team
• Serve patients at a convenient location open seven days a week, including evenings

Clinical Practice

Assess and treat patients with nonemergency illnesses and injuries, including rashes, respiratory symptoms, minor musculoskeletal injuries, and mild-to-moderate asthma. Responsibilities include obtaining histories, performing examinations, ordering and interpreting appropriate tests, developing treatment plans, providing patient education, and determining when a higher level of care is needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current or eligible Maryland Physician Assistant licensure
• National certification through the NCCPA
• Experience caring for patients across the lifespan preferred
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience preferred

About the Valley Mall Location

Meritus Urgent Care – Valley Mall provides care for patients of all ages in Hagerstown. The location is open 6–11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Specific provider shifts will be discussed during the interview process.
