
The Physician Assistant Program at Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University is seeking a full-time Director of Student Affairs
The Director of Student Affairs provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for all student affairs functions within the Physician Assistant Program. This individual is responsible for fostering a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment that promotes academic success, professional development, student well-being, and compliance with institutional and accreditation standards. The Director serves as a key advocate for students and collaborates with program leadership, faculty, staff, and university partners to ensure a positive and enriching student experience throughout the educational continuum.
Duties/Responsibilities• Serves as the primary faculty resource for student support and guidance related to academic, personal, and professional concerns.• Coordinates strategies for students experiencing academic or personal issues.• Participates in student evaluations, remediations, and academic review process to identify students at risk. • Participates in student recruitment, interviews, outreach, and matriculation activities. • Attends open houses, orientations, and community events as a representative of Temple University’s PA Program. • Facilitates educational programs focused on professionalism, wellness, leadership, and career preparation. • Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion to support students. • Oversees compliance with required accreditation standards related to student services and outcomes. • Design and monitor student satisfaction metrics to support program development and quality improvement initiatives. • Maintains a current working knowledge of the field of student affairs and student services. • Provides instruction to students during the didactic and clinical program year.
Candidate Qualifications• Master Degree relevant to physician assistant practice• NCCPA certification • Ability to obtain a Physician Assistant license for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
