The primary purpose of the Physician Assistant position is to provide healthcare services under the direction and supervision of a NJ licensed Attending Physician at University Hospital. Examines patients on the Inpatient General Medicine Service, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Practices in an ethical manner pursuant to the standards of care for Physician Assistants.
Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or a related field. Graduation from a Physician Assistants Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Certification from the National Commission forCertification by Physician Assistants (NCCPA). New Jersey Licensed from the State Board of Medical Examiners-Physician Advisory committee. Prior experience in clinical medicine is preferred.
