NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our clinical team in Victoria, Texas This provider will deliver compassionate, efficient, and evidence-based care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

This role is ideal for a motivated clinician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a collaborative care team.

Clinic Information

  • Location: 3002 Sam Houston Dr, Victoria, TX

  • Hours:

    • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Patient Population: Infant through geriatric

  • Setting: High-volume, walk-in urgent care

Core Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients of all ages

  • Manage high patient volume efficiently while maintaining quality care

  • Perform urgent care procedures including suturing and initial x-ray interpretation

  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

  • Document encounters accurately and efficiently in the EHR

  • Code and bill services appropriately

  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks

  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards, policies, and values

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Texas NP or PA license

  • Active DEA (or ability to obtain)

  • PA: NCCPA certification

  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

  • Ability to treat patients of all ages

  • Bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies or master’s degree in nursing

  • Active BLS certification

  • Comfortable working occasional weekends and holidays

  • EHR proficiency

  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided at no cost)

Required Qualifications

  • Documented prior urgent care experience

  • Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license

  • Active DEA (or ability to obtain immediately)

  • PA: NCCPA certification

  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

  • Proven ability to treat all age groups independently

  • Active BLS certification

  • EHR proficiency

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays

  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided)

Preferred

  • Multiple years of urgent care or emergency fast-track experience

  • Strong procedural skill set (suturing, splinting, wound care)

  • Experience with initial x-ray reads prior to radiology over-read
