Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Urgent Care
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Clinic: NextCare Urgent Care – McCart

Status: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive hourly, plus bonus opportunities

Schedule

Full-time clinicians typically work three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays. Monthly schedules are released in advance.

Clinic Hours
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

NextCare is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team at our McCart clinic in Fort Worth.

You will care for patients of all ages while working alongside experienced clinical teams, accessible medical leadership, and supportive peers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management, as applicable
  • Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Code and bill services appropriately
  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • NP applicants must hold ANCC or AANP certification; FNP required
  • PA applicants must hold NCCPA certification
  • Active DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
  • Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
  • Experience with initial x-ray interpretation before radiology over-read
