
Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology/Hepatology-(26002937)
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist the faculty in performance of direct patient care services for adult general Gastroenterology and to perform direct patient care services under faculty supervision.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outpatient Clinics
Develop and carry out a plan for surveillance of patients with pre-malignant conditions of the digestive tract including Barrett’s metaplasia and colonic adenomas. This will include performing an appropriate interval history and physical examination, facilitation of the surveillance procedure, follow-up and reporting of the results, arrangements for repeat examination at appropriate intervals and development of a patient registry and data base.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Unit
The department intends to hire for one position as either an ARNP, requisition 26002938 or PA, requisition 26002937, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. Please apply to the specific position for which you which to be considered or both.
