Epilepsy Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Epilepsy Program delivering specialized care to patients with seizure disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role partners closely with epileptologists to provide high-quality, evidence-based care, improve patient outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency within a multidisciplinary neurology team.

Schedule Monday-Friday: 9a-5p or 8a-4p, with one day per week clinic responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations including detailed seizure histories
  • Conduct physical and neurological examinations
  • Diagnose and manage epilepsy and seizure disorders under physician supervision
  • Develop and implement treatment plans including anti-seizure medication management, under physician supervision
  • Monitor therapeutic response and medication side effects
  • Provide acute management of breakthrough seizures and status epilepticus under physician supervision.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Outpatient Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new and follow-up epilepsy clinic visits, under physician supervision
  • Provide patient and family education on seizure safety, triggers, and medication adherence
  • Adjust medications based on clinical response and diagnostic findings
  • Coordinate referrals for:
  • Neuropsychological testing
  • Imaging (MRI,PET)
