
Job Title: Emergency Room Physician Assistant
Location: Nellis Air Force Base – Las Vegas, NV
Nellis AFB is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Physician Assistant to provide high-quality emergency and primary care under physician supervision. The PA will assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a fast-paced military medical environment.
Education: Graduate of an ARC-PA–accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or Red Cross–approved). NCCPA certification required. Certifications must remain current.
Experience: At least 24 months of PA experience within the last 36 months
Licensure: Full, unrestricted PA license in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
Board Certification: No additional board certification required.
Provide emergency and primary care with physician supervision.
Conduct histories, physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and develop treatment plans.
Identify and manage emergent conditions; initiate treatment and coordinate higher-level care.
Approve/deny specialty referrals and support patient phone consults.
Deliver preventive care and admit inpatients per facility procedures.
Stabilize and prepare emergency patients for transfer or evacuation.
Perform nerve blocks (digital, local infiltration, intercostal) and urological procedures.
Maintain accurate inpatient and outpatient medical records.
Serve in a mission-driven role supporting the mental health and readiness of our nation’s service members.
