Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physician Assistant Degree $51.102 to $62.5

Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the (CPSS).

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset

Education

  • Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC

Licenses

  • Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or
  • Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
  • Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant
  • Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.

  • Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset
