We are seeking alicensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)to provideoccupational health serviceson anintermittent basis, covering for staff absences in our Occupational Health Clinic. This role focuses on supporting thewellness, safety, and medical needs of city employees, with duties spanning from injury triage to physical exams and regulatory testing.

Key Responsibilities:

·Provideprimary, urgent, and occupational health careto adult employees, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care

·Conducthealth evaluations, post-offer/pre-placement physical exams, andCDL medical certifications

·Performin-person and telephone triageof injured employees, determining appropriate care and facilitating referrals as needed

·Collaborate closely with theCity’s Physical Therapy, Workers’ Compensation team, and other relevant internal departments

·Conduct OSHA-compliant evaluations and testing, including:

oHearing conservation assessments (CAOHC standards)

oPulmonary clearance andrespirator fit testing

oSupport forasbestos monitoringprotocols

·Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations

·Assist in developing or reviewingoccupational health policies and proceduresalongside safety engineers, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene personnel

Minimum Qualifications:

·Graduate of anaccredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program

·Active and unrestricted license to practice as aNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado

·Board Certification from AANPCB, ANCC, or NCCPA (as applicable)

·State and Federal DEA certification to prescribe Schedule II–V controlled substances

·Registered with the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME)

·Current BLS certification

·Relevant and progressively responsible experience inurgent care, emergency care, or occupational health, specifically treating adult patients

·Experience handling occupational injuriesis highly valued

This is anon-benefited, intermittent position Candidates must be flexible and capable of stepping into coverage roles with short notice. The ideal applicant will be experienced in both clinical treatment and occupational safety protocols, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
