Lekár zabezpečuje kvalitnú starostlivosť a dohľad nad pacientami pri chronickom zlyhaní obličiek na základe denných a urgentných konzultácií. Dohliada na poskytovanie individuálnej starostlivosti o pacienta, pripravuje správy o zdravotnom stave a prijíma nových pacientov v závislosti od kapacity strediska a zdravotného stavu pacientov. Pracuje v programe EuCliD, ktorý uchováva všetky dôležité informácie o pacientovi a poskytuje potrebnú individuálnu terapiu. Okrem toho prispieva k zlepšovaniu celkovej starostlivosti o pacientov.
