Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Earn a guaranteed $40 an hour as a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant at Bristol Glen, a United Methodist Communities skilled nursing and rehab center in Newton, NJ. Pick up weekday and weekend shifts on your own schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out treatment plans set by the supervising physical therapist for residents recovering from surgery, illness, or injury
  • Guide residents through therapeutic exercises to rebuild strength, balance, and mobility
  • Support residents with daily living activities as part of their rehab plan
  • Track and report each resident's progress to the supervising physical therapist
  • Encourage residents through sessions that are often physically and emotionally hard for them
  • Document each treatment accurately and on time, following state and facility requirements

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
  • 2+ years of experience as a PTA

Preferred:

  • Experience in a skilled nursing, rehab, or continuing care community

Pay and Benefits

  • $40.00 per hour, guaranteed rate
  • This is a per diem position.
  • Flexible scheduling: choose weekday and weekend shifts as they're available, with no minimum hour commitment
  • Streamlined orientation and great team environment

Per diem. Shifts are weekdays and weekends, based on availability and resident care needs.
