Position Goal:
Responsible for administering physical therapy treatment as supervised by the staff physical therapist. Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff PT, after the PT has evaluated the patient. Provides quality patient care according to practice standards of the American Physical Therapy Association appropriate to age and disability related to limitations in function. Documents and performs charge related functions.
Position Responsibilities:
Experience: Prior PTA experience preferred.
Education: AA degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Special Qualifications Current AL certificate as Physical Therapy Assistant. BLS required. Alabama license required.
