Job Description

A Brief Overview
Administers therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as directed by the physical therapist. Identifies patients in need of re-assessment or intervention by the physical therapist and routinely collaborates with the physical therapist and occupational health provider regarding the plan of care.

What you will do

• Effectively utilizes the physical therapist's evaluation to identify patient's skills, educational baseline, social setting, equipment needs, and discharge plan to establish the treatment approach to each patient.
• Demonstrate attention to the Plan of Care without omission of key treatment points.
• Appropriately administers safe and effective treatment with corresponding documentation.
• Carefully re-assesses Plan of Care in an appropriate timeframe and addresses changes as needed.
• Safely operates all equipment relevant to treatment.
• Effectively establishes priorities for using time to maximize productivity.
• Willingly performs other duties as necessary.
• Participate in daily clinic operations such as facilitating pre-participation testing, agility testing, drug and alcohol testing, respirator and spirometry testing, and toher testing as applies to clinic operations.
• Participate in required trainings to facilitate Occupational Health testing, and maintain any certifications needed to facilitate such tests.

Education Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree Physical Therapy Assistant Required

Experience Qualifications

• Minimum of one year relevant experience Experience working as a physical therapy assistant Preferred and
• Minimum of one year relevant experience Worker's Compensation Preferred or
• Minimum of one year relevant experience Industrial Experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Current State of Illinois Physical Therapy Assistant License Required and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Shifts: vary with operations occurring Monday - Friday from 6 am to 4 pm

Hours: 32 hours per week
