Located in beautiful Northern California, Adventist Health Clear Lake has been a leading healthcare provider in Lake County since 1968. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and provide primary and specialty care services at clinics throughout the area to best serve our community. Job Summary

Plans and implements patient treatment programs based on physical therapy principles and practices. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team members. Treats patients for neuromuscular and muscular-skeletal conditions and develops appropriate rehabilitation programs.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree in exercise science or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions

• Supports and stabilizes patients. Refers patients to assistant physical therapists or physical therapy assistants for treatments, tests and evaluations.
• Administers routine treatments, such as hydrotherapy, hot and cold packs, paraffin baths and exercises, as directed by physical therapists or physical therapy assistants. Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment. Delivers aquatic therapy and exercise classes, as directed by physical therapists.
• Documents patient treatment, response and goal progression. Documents application of therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Transports patients to and from treatment area and transfers patients between conveyances and treatment equipment, using transfer techniques appropriate to patient conditions.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
