
The physical therapy resident is a post-graduate participant in a physical therapy residency program in a defined area of specialty practice. Residents provide independent patient care in their area of specialty, receive direct 1:1 patient care mentorship from a licensed Physical Therapist, and perform other job responsibilities of a physical therapist as required by their department. Residents participate in didactic education, research training, teaching, dissemination, specialty experiences and multidisciplinary collaboration to satisfy the criteria for residency education as established by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE). Residents graduate from the program once all accreditation and program requirements have been completed.
This is a full-time (40 hrs/week) position at Methodist Hospital.
