More about our team: Kindred Hospital Northland, located in Kansas City, MO, is a long-term acute care facility offering specialized, compassionate care to help patients with complex conditions recover, heal, and regain independence. The facility is designed for individuals who are medically stable but still need a longer recovery period, often after critical illnesses, surgeries, or prolonged hospital stays.

What you will do in this role: Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Provides educational information to patients in regard to injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy and rehabilitation therapy. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment. Additional responsibilities in this role include:

  • Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
  • Document treatment sessions and patient outcomes accurately.
  • Collaborate with rehab teams and participate in discharge planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Experience: Previous experience in rehab setting preferred.
  • License: Current PT license.
  • Certifications: CPR certification required.
