Examines, tests, measures, generates, and interprets data/information findings for physical therapy diagnosis
Recognizes, selects, and utilizes effective methods of verbal and non-verbal interactions based on the age of the patient
Develops and modifies goals and treatment plans
Delivers various therapeutic interventions accurately and effectively
Delegates and monitors aspects of care to appropriate PT personnel
Documents services delivered clearly, concisely, and accurately
Accurately records and submits patient related charges for patient billing and departmental productivity
Efficiently utilizes resources of human, equipment and supplies
Authorized to have access to medications within their scope of practice
Other duties as assigned
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE accredited academic institution
Master's degree preferred
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina
New graduate or experienced clinicians considered
Strong interpersonal skills
Good written and verbal ability
Exercises good judgment and problem-solving skills
Effectively works in a team-oriented environment
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and integration of factors involved in patient care such that clinician is considered a resource to others in the department
Demonstrates respect in all communication
Problem solves in an ethical and effective manner
Demonstrates flexibility and teamwork
Ability to communicate orally, read, write, hear, and visually assess patient status
Ability to utilize proper body mechanics when examining or delivering care
Ability to transfer and transport patients of various body weight and composition
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, turn, twist, sit, and walk frequently
Ability to demonstrate proper use of and manipulate equipment
