The Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed treatments and provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injury or disease. The Physical Therapist will also help restore, maintain and promote overall fitness and health. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.2. Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.3. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:1. Five (5) years of licensed clinical experience2. M.S. in Physical Therapy or MPT
