The Physical Therapy Lead is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the Physical Therapy (PT) department within the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role ensures high-quality patient care, supports staff development and training, manages departmental operations, and drives growth and innovation in PT services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development & Growth
o Develop, implement, and maintain PT program to enhance patient outcomes and expand services.
o Identify opportunities to improve workflows and integrate best practices.
2. Staff Training & Competency
o Lead in-service trainings for PT staff and other clinical personnel.
o Monitor staff competencies and support ongoing professional development.
3. Department Operations
o Ensure the PT department is appropriately staffed to meet patient care demands.
o Support infection control and safety standards.
o Collaborate with leadership on scheduling, workflow, and operational improvements.
4. Quality & Compliance
o Perform quality audits and studies to monitor performance and patient outcomes.
o Work with vendors to ensure PT devices are utilized appropriately and billed correctly.
o Maintain compliance with Utah state regulations, ASC requirements, and accreditation standards.
5. Collaboration
o Serve as the primary PT contact for interdepartmental coordination and patient care planning.
o Support leadership in departmental planning, budgets, and operational initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
· Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Utah.
· Leadership or supervisory experience.
· Strong clinical knowledge, communication, and team management skills.
· Knowledge of ASC operations and regulatory requirements in Utah.
