Job Description

A Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with injuries, illnesses, or movement disorders to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore physical function. They develop individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, stretching, and patient education while collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to support recovery and long-term wellness.

Strong emphasis on continued learning, including therapist mentorship, educational in-services, lunch and learns, article reviews and unlimited continuing education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient goals, using evidence-based interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with pelvic floor dysfunctions such as pelvic pain, incontinence, dyspareunia, prolapse, post-partum recovery, and related conditions.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques including, but not limited to, manual therapy, biofeed back, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercise to treat pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Provide patient education on pelvic health, anatomy, exercises, posture, and lifestyle changes that promote wellness and recovery.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, OB -GYNs, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient c are.
  • Records evaluations, daily progress notes and discharge notes in order to provide complete documentation for patient charts.
  • Schedules patient visits and follows billing procedures for services provided.
  • Stay current with best practices, industry research, and continuing education in pelvic floor therapy.
  • Assists with staff development.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Physical Therapy; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in providing physical therapy treatments; may require orthopedic experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and possession of a valid State of Michigan Physical Therapy license.

Work Hours

Clinic operations are Monday - Thursday 6:00am to 7:00pm, Friday 6:00am - 5:30pm. Working hours will be within this range.
