As a Physical Therapist in Home Health, you will:

  • Plan and implement individualized treatment programs based on physical therapy principles.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patient care.
  • Supervise PTAs and other support staff, ensuring quality treatment and documentation.
  • Stay current with new therapeutic interventions to enhance patient care and department excellence.

General Requirements:

  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
  • For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
  • Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License and meet auto insurability requirements as approved by Phoebe Putney Health System's insurance company.

Working Conditions:

  • Well-lighted, air-conditioned environment with moderate noise levels.

  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.

  • Continuous audio and video recording in Tech Room and patient rooms during work hours.

  • Possible exposure to hazardous substances, body fluids, or infectious organisms.

  • May need to switch tasks quickly without loss of efficiency or composure.

  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

  • May be scheduled as needed, including overtime.

OSHA Category:

  • OSHA Category I - Employees will all be exposed to specific hazards as a regular part of their job.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Required)
  • Experience: 0–1 year in a clinical or medical setting (Preferred)
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Physical Therapist (PT)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
