Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physical Therapist - Degree Senior $43.402 to $53.195

Travel Required: No

Reporting to the Manager, The Physical Therapist Degree - Senior will act as the clinical leader for the Saskatchewan Spine Pathway and Saskatchewan Spine Pathway Clinic. The incumbent will supervise, delegate work, and provide support and direction to the physical therapist(s) – degree as necessary, as well as participating in the assessment, treatment, education and evaluation for Spinal Patients. The Physical Therapist - Senior will work closely and collaboratively with the referring Primary Care Practitioner and Spine Surgeons to ensure continuity and high-quality care. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Other Education and Training

  • Current CPR Level C

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to assist clients dealing with stress, role loss, and other psych issues
  • Knowledge in the continuum of spinal care
  • ability to communicate effectively with staff, physicians, families.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to change
  • Ability to employ biopsychosocial approach in provisional care to patients
  • Ability to plan, organize/coordinate efforts with other team members
