    Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physical Therapist - Degree $40.187 to $49.255

    Travel Required: No

    The Physical Therapist- Degree works under the direction of the Primary Health Care Manager and is supervised by the Physical Therapist Degree Senior to provide team based interdisciplinary care. The Physical Therapist- Degree will be responsible for providing holistic, culturally responsive, trauma informed assessment and treatment. The physical therapist- degree will participate in a rotation between all physical therapy programs. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

    • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

    Licenses

    • Valid Class 5 driver's license

    Other Education and Training

    • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

    Knowledge and Abilities

    • Knowledge of Health Information Protection Act and other legislation.
    • Ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
    • Ability to act independently/work independently/make decisions autonomously
    • Provide culturally competent, client & family centered & strength based care
    • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced work environment with complex cases
    • Promotes innovation, guides change and is committed to continuous improvement
    • Knowledge in the determinants of health and impact on health
    • Knowledge of trauma informed practice
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
    • Demonstrates effective relationships with staff, patients/clients, and families
