Per Diem Physical Therapist – Long Beach, CA Area
A healthcare provider in the Long Beach area is seeking a contract Physical Therapist (Per Diem) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This flexible role is ideal for clinicians looking to pick up shifts or supplement their schedule while working with a collaborative rehab team.
Responsibilities:
Complete timely evaluations within 24 hours of referral and document findings.
Develop and carry out treatment plans with physician approval.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Restorative Aides.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of all services.
Assist with discharge planning and caregiver instruction.
Recommend and coordinate necessary equipment for patient mobility.
Qualifications:
Active California Physical Therapist license.
Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate).
Reliable documentation and communication skills.
Experience with EMR platforms like Casamba or PointClickCare is a plus.
Compensation:
Competitive per diem rate of $60 to $71 per hour, based on experience.
