Job Description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Earn $40 an hour as a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant at The Shores, a UMC community in Ocean City, NJ. Work day shifts on your schedule, with weekend shifts available if you want extra hours.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver therapy interventions and exercises under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Assist residents with mobility, strengthening, balance, and functional activity programs
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates or concerns to the Physical Therapist
  • Encourage and support residents throughout their rehabilitation journey
  • Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation in accordance with community and state requirements

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Jersey
  • Prior experience in a sub-acute rehab or home health therapy setting
  • Comfortable working with older adults in a skilled nursing or short-term rehab setting

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Net Health Therapy documentation software

Pay and Benefits

  • $40.00 per hour, per diem
  • Flexible scheduling: day shifts, with weekend shifts available if you want extra hours
