Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Physical Therapist Assistant team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of individuals by providing comprehensive and quality therapy services. This position is responsible for administering skilled physical therapy treatments as developed and recommended by a Registered Physical Therapist, ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
What a PTA Role Looks Like at Elderwood:• Working one-on-one with residents to improve mobility, strength, balance, and endurance• Assisting patients through individualized therapy treatment plans created by the supervising PT• Helping residents safely return to daily activities and improve overall quality of life• Encouraging, motivating, and celebrating patient progress every step of the way• Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary rehab and nursing team• Documenting treatments and progress accurately and efficiently• Creating meaningful connections with residents and families daily
