Department: Outpatient Physical Therapy Chippewa
Hours: M-F, 40 hours/flexible for evening patient care
The basic function of a staff physical therapist is to evaluate a patient or client’s physical function, establish an individual plan of treatment, implement the plan of treatment and reevaluate the patient’s condition for any change in status. Services on the patient units and outpatient sites are in compliance with regulations of governing agencies.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Physical Therapy, a Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy or a certificate in Physical Therapy. Current license to practice in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure. The ability to support an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care that crosses a comprehensive care continuum.
Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Preferred: Must be enthusiastic and have patience in working with a variety of personalities and disease entities. Must be able to work cooperatively with department personnel and health care team members. Must be able to motivate a patient to perform maximally. Must be courteous and treat all patients with respect and dignity. Must care for patients as individuals by seeking out and responding to their personal needs, problems, and concerns. Must conscientiously maintain patient confidentiality.
