Salary Range: $90.00 - $90.00 Hourly

Position Purpose
The Physical Therapist provides school-based physical therapy services as an independent contractor to support students with disabilities or physical challenges in accessing their educational environment. Through collaboration with educators and families, along with appropriate accommodations, adaptive equipment, and ongoing progress monitoring, the Physical Therapist helps students build the mobility and independence needed to participate fully in school programming.
Job Duties
- Evaluate Students' Physical Abilities: Assess students with disabilities or physical challenges to determine their needs.
- Develop and attend Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Create and implement IEPs for students requiring physical therapy, in collaboration with educators and parents.
- Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver hands-on therapy sessions to improve students' mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function.
- Monitor and Track Progress: Regularly assess students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Consult with Staff and Teachers: Advise teachers and other staff on modifications and accommodations to support students' physical needs in the classroom.
- Educate Students and Families: Provide training and resources to students, families, and staff on exercises, strategies, and equipment to support physical development.
- Recommend and Fit Adaptive Equipment: Suggest and help fit students with assistive devices, such as walkers or wheelchairs, as needed.
- Ensure Accessibility: Work with the school district to ensure that facilities are accessible to all students, including those with physical disabilities.
- Document Services Provided: Keep detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and communications with parents and staff.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid, active Physical Therapist license issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
- Successful completion of a physical therapy program accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
- Must have a Special Services Provider (SSP) license from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
- Must carry your own professional and general liability.
- This will be an independent contractor (1099) position and will you to have your own personal business entity, such as a Professional Limited Liability Company (PLLC), or a Sole Proprietorship, to contract with our school.
